The Plakhov Group (PG) is an international affairs research organization. Our mission is to research and analyze international relations, geopolitics, and national security issues. This includes the following topics: NATO, the EU, Europe, North America, Asia, diplomatic relations, sanctions, human rights, democracy, authoritarianism, international security, and other subjects relevant to international relations, national security issues, and geopolitics. PG prides itself on publishing accurate, credible, and timely intelligence in a concise and easy-to-understand format.
We welcome applications from suitable and enthusiastic Grant Researchers and Writers looking to help grow and expand The Plakhov Group. This role will work directly under the President and will find new grants, funding, and contracting opportunities for the Plakhov Group. Some responsibilities include: researching open-source information to find grants and funding opportunities with governments and the private sector, establishing contacts with potential clients, updating and briefing the President on opportunities and new connections, and drafting applications for funding opportunities. We are also looking for applicants who have the ability to be creative and are not afraid to propose new solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
A completed or ongoing undergraduate university degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university — including law, political science, international relations, history, and other social science programs;
Ability to conduct thorough research on a daily basis;
Ability to quickly write applications and conduct sustained outreach;
Ability to conduct meetings on a weekly basis.
Desirable (not essential, but will be considered an asset)
An undergraduate degree, or master's degree, in a relevant subject from a recognized university specialized in a relevant subject from a recognized university — including law, political science, international relations, history, and other social science programs;
Past experience with grant writing or strategic outreach;
Skills and experience related to quickly briefing and updating management;
Current connections within a useful network of clients interested in geopolitical analysis;
Possess good knowledge of international relations and national security issues.
Knowledge of any languages.

The role
If successful in your application, you can choose to be a Research Analyst for one of our three regional teams: North America, Europe and Asia. For the regional teams, Research Analysts will provide clients with short and long products regarding international relations and national security issues in the three regions.
Successful applicants will also be able to choose to contribute to or solely join the Daily Ops team as a Research Analyst. The Daily Op is our newest product at The Plakhov Group and provides our growing readership with comprehensive and concise security briefs every weekday. This consists of active monitoring and analysis of geopolitical developments across North America, the Arctic and an expanding list of countries in Eurasia.
