Research Analyst
As a Research Analyst at The Plakhov Group, Giulia contributes to the Daily Ops team, supporting research and analysis on international security, geopolitics, and public policy.
She is a Human Rights student at Wilfrid Laurier University and intends to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.), with interests at the intersection of law, governance, international affairs, and human rights.
Professionally, Giulia has experience across political affairs, advocacy, research, and community engagement. She has worked as a political staffer and has been involved in political outreach and public engagement initiatives. She currently serves as Deputy Managing Director for Young Professionals in Foreign Policy Toronto, where she contributes to youth engagement and dialogue surrounding Canadian foreign policy, international security, and global affairs.
Alongside her policy and advocacy work, Giulia has participated in academic conferences and international discussions focused on human rights, democratic governance, and security issues. Her experience also includes fundraising initiatives supporting women in Ghana, reflecting her broader commitment to women’s empowerment and international development.
Her research interests specifically focus on geopolitics, international security and defense policy, democratic governance, human rights, international law, and global development.
