Research Analyst
As a Research Analyst at The Plakhov Group, Emma contributes to the Europe and Asia teams, supporting research and analysis on international security, geopolitics, and public policy.
Emma is currently a BA student at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Political Science, Public Policy, and Administration. In 2024, Emma received a Microgrant from the GLOCAL Foundation, in which she created a website on the BC Judicial system, and she continued working for them as a researcher in the summer. She also conducted research for the Canadian Chambers of Commerce in Japan, examining business and trade relations between Canada and Japan. She is also currently a member of the Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies Student Advisory Council at UBC, in which she works closely with the faculty. Her main areas of research interest are international security in Eastern Europe.
